Crafting Digital Solutions... One Line of Code at a Time
Robert C Smith's journey in Information Technology has spanned over 17 years, igniting his
passion for coding during his studies at Sacramento City College. Influenced by his father,
a long-time programmer himself, Robert delved into the field with an introductory class,
mastering HTML using Notepad alone (IDEs were still a new concept). As his web development courses
expanded over time, he earned his Webmaster, Level 2, Certificate of Achievement in
2008 and his Web Developer Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in 2011.
In the early stages of his career, Robert honed his skills in technical support and IT Help
Desk roles, offering a rich exposure to diverse technologies. Navigating Windows servers,
Linux servers, and macOS X in a single day, he became adept at intuitive adaptation to
new environments. His career pivoted towards web development after winning a Webby Award
for his final student project - a full website design and deployment for the Sacramento
Second Saturday Art Walk.
During downtime from projects and client requests, Robert actively contributes to
open-source projects on Github and keeps pace with evolving technology, currently
exploring the recent advancements in AI by experimenting with them to learn ways
they can be integrated into future web application projects.

of a cat dad to Chase, his feline confidant. Entire weekends are often dedicated to their
